Monsoon thoughts !

The scorching heart of Mumbai is less painful when I think or the Monsoons... The arrival of the first showers reminds me that everything dirty will be washed away. Everything is going to look fresh, seem fresh... And breathe Fresh. Such is my case - where I want to feel something FRESH. These stale thoughts are leading me no where. Infact on most days I feel myself spiraling downwards... #worstfeelingever

Vintage Photo Mason Jar

I love how Cori made her own wedding centerpieces by placing black and white photos into vegetable oil-filled mason jars. The oil preserves the photograph and gives it an aged yellowing effect. She added a sprig of dried lavender to make it smell nice.

Become Someone Else

Do you ever look back a year to find yourself laughing or crying about something that today seems exactly the opposite ?? Sometimes even something as simple as friendship can take a whole new meaning. I want to be the person I was a year ago – but how can I change what has gone by ?? I am caught in a dilemma ... and it’s giving me sleepless nights. I have taken a stand, I’ve put my foot down. It is not because my sleep is important. It is because I am tired and fighty all the time. I am ready to let go ... I am ready to fight the emotion !!

Are you willing to become someone else – especially become the person who will be loved by the person you love? Or are you going to fight the emotion and let it go ??

Separated at Birth

I'm getting such a kick out of Victoria's Separated By Birth series. She somehow manages to perfectly pair up vintage starlets with color complimentary decor. Matches made in heaven.

Easter Eggs

The one thing I miss about being in Belgium is the FOOD and DESERT my 3rd Host Mother Marie Theresse Robert cooked. I remember waking up on Sunday’s to the aromas of an apple pie in the over, or some fresh goat cheese being marinated in a herb sauce or some bread and cheese from the Sunday market. It was about experiencing Europe of the 1940’s ! It was soulful.
When i was living there – it was precisely EASTER. There were hidden all around the house Easter Eggs made of different types of chocolates and different fillings that Easter morning !! I went around the house finding them. And the best part was I could crack open and egg and begin eating without having to share it with anyone else... !! The joys of being the only child in the house. By the way I grew up in a house full of naughty kids – so I learnt to share everything... but as i said , for once it was amazing to not share and jus enjoy... # BEING SELFISHCOMESEASY !

Check out my host mothers secret EASTER EGGS !!!

Will I or Will I never be ?

I am synonymous with travel ! and I would not want to change this for the world. I love living out of a suitcase, travelling and exploring. It does not make me tired one bit. I do feel a little bit homesick ... when I miss my rotli daal bhaat and shak. I love looking at people going around, the way of life is so different. Last weekend I only travelled about 200 kms to be transported to a place which felt like 2000 kms away.
The only bad thing about travelling this far is that if I don’t get my rotli’s , I switch over to Italian food. Although, I rarely find too much company. But I could eat a pizza every single meal – okay no every single meal per say – i could alternate between a ravioli, arabiata pasta, some soulful risotto, and some real aubergine and sundried tomatoes with bell peppers tossed in ali olio pasta... !! So I tend to put on piles of weight each time i come back. And then my time back home is spent getting it back to where I left – and then I take off again.
When will I ever be able to travel in this high fashion way ??? Will I or Will I never be ??

Dear Mr Right !

Dear Mr Right !
I have finally taken it on myself to find you.. ! Not that I wasn’t. But I said to myself, enough of this passive wishing. I need to be more active. When I find you – You will have to hear me out patiently. And also have to take my 100 taunts of where were you ? what took you so long ? why didn’t you come earlier ?? ... There was too much pressure building around me. My parents think its time we come find you – the others around me also – cannot wait until Didi has found her Mr right. So before going to Gujarat I signed up for .

Let me tell you a little about it. They asked me to fill out this entire form. Now , one would think it would be a couple of pages – but I had to fill out some random 16ish pages with every gory detail from the time of my birth up until today. They asked me all about you too.... I’ve written everything about you.. For eg. I have specified you height, your weight, your profession, the area’s you can live in, the number of rooms you must have, the cars you must drive, the hobbies you must have, the level of religiousness you and your family must share... Oh and of course – the money you make.. LOL!
All that effort was not worth it. Of course I had a couple of people who matched your profile. Some with a broken leg, or less income, or in non-specified area, or a manglik situation, or a dysfunctional family, or not as smart as you. No one came even close to you !

So, today i am writing to you, telling you that I am waiting in one of the hidden pages of this bloody matrimonial site. If you FIT THE BILL then ping me... call me... email me... find me... ! OKAY ??

Chal, Ill even cut you a deal... You make the place you first take me on a date look like the below mentioned picture – and I will not ask you too many questions about your whereabouts... or atleast so i will try !! Now common... GRAB THE OFFER !!

Ever Mine, Ever Thine, Always Yours,
