30 REASONS TO LOVE BLUE, GREEN AND PURPLE

This weekend brought the first two truly HOT and SWEATY days to Mumbai. Across the borough people were breaking out flip flops and tank tops and all of the dogs seemed to have a bit more spring to their step. On my trip back on forth to my in-laws house, I pass 2 sets of river-lets. While it was nice to see a little bit of blue-ish water, it left a bit to be desired in terms of summery blues and greens.  These beautiful photos from DS readers across the globe highlight some of the most vivid greens, cobalt blues and deep purples that I’ve ever seen. 10 Staircase Inspiration

I grew up in a duplex house and now I cannot think of only 1 storey homes. Even if its a tiny bedroom in the loft, I would love for a small winding staircase taking me into my own little space - which is closed to everybody but Kunal ofcourse ! . It has also something to do with Father of the Bride and Kimberly Williams on the stairs –  when she brings her fiancé home and floats down the stairs wearing a LBD (and then later in her wedding dress).  I wanted to float down stairs. Now, my staircase wish comes from an entirely different place. It is just such a fantastic opportunity to make a huge design statement. I love seeing homes where people aren’t afraid to do something creative on the stairs. Unless you have an amazing old staircase (and you know who you are!), then why not break out the can of paint or wallpaper and go a little wild?
