Rugs by Patter Society

Lemme tell you— finding rugs that are easy on the eyes and the wallet is a tough business. Too often, one will need to sacrifice either beauty or budget in order to find floor decor that suits one’s particular aesthetic or price range. This is why I pretty much lose my mind whenever I find rugs that are both affordable and attractive. When these fantastic rugs from Pattern Society made their way into our e-mail inbox recently, I fell absolutely head over heels. The rugs produced by this brand new venture feature bold, eye-popping patterns that are sure to liven and lift any space they touch. With designs that are monochromatic and ultra-chromatic, they’re also sure to satisfy the minimalist or maximalist in everybody. In terms of construction, each reversible rug is flat-woven from 100% cotton, making them entirely vegan and easily maintainable. In fact, I love garland so much we are installing a wall of it as permanent decor in our new house – like a necklace for my wall. 10 WAYS TO DECORATE WITH ROPE

We always have a bit of a rope obsession going on and when summer hits and thoughts turn to all things nautical, rope looms even larger as a decor accent. After all, nothing scream nautical quite like a piece of rope.

CRYSTAL COLLECTIONS

I used to think crystals were new age woo-woo. But as I'm learning more and more about reiki and energy healing, it actually makes sense. My new fascination with gemstones has grown into a hobby of sorts. I've even started my own mini collection. 

Right now, all my pretty rocks are hiding in velvet pouches and I'd love to put them on display. Yesterday, I came across Lauren's handmade wooden geometrical shelves. Problem solved. She sells them with crystal curio sets to start your own collection of clusters. Aren't they beautiful?

ADVENTURES IN WATERCOLOR & PHOTOGRAPHY

How breathtaking is this editorial spread for Genlux Magazine? I'm so impressed. Katie, a watercolor illustrator, collaborated with Daniel, a fashion photographer, to design an imaginary fantasy land, "Far Far Away", for the model to adventure in.

Now how does one find the portal to this world? :)
