30 REASONS TO LOVE BLUE, GREEN AND PURPLE

This weekend brought the first two truly HOT and SWEATY days to Mumbai. Across the borough people were breaking out flip flops and tank tops and all of the dogs seemed to have a bit more spring to their step. On my trip back on forth to my in-laws house, I pass 2 sets of river-lets. While it was nice to see a little bit of blue-ish water, it left a bit to be desired in terms of summery blues and greens.  These beautiful photos from DS readers across the globe highlight some of the most vivid greens, cobalt blues and deep purples that I’ve ever seen. COLOR PALETTES: GREENS & BLUES

Inspiration comes in all shapes and forms, but few things inspire me as much as jewelry design. Aside from wall hangings and woven textiles, jewelry is my favorite source of color palette inspiration because gemstones feature so many shades and shimmery dimensions of color. My favorite jeweler is, without a doubt, Caitlin Mociun, so I’m constantly creeping on her Tumblr page, looking at the custom designs she creates for clients. The ring above caught my eye yesterday, so I immediately decided to round up some furniture and accessories that capture the color palette. From rich velvet pillows to tiny gray salt shakers, I tried to find something to match each facet of the ring’s stones. I added paint colors at the bottom in case you’re in the mood for a change on your walls. Greens always feel so cool and springy to me, so it’s the perfect time to consider a change.

Girls in Greens !!

When I was young my mum chose all colours and made me wear them. I bet she did not like leafy parrots and bottle Greens - and so I was always Green Shy ! As I grew up - I made myself to believe that Green is not my thing. So my friend Siddhi and I went for some street shopping - and all I could see around me is GREENS... Really GREEN !! I said when she pointed out this green T-Shirt. I did not even dare to dry. And of course never say never I say -- the more I ran away from GREEN the more it came and BIT ME... and So - I am putting it out of you guys... Do you think GREEN would look good on me ??
