Yellow Sunshine

If only yellow and sunny came with cool breeze... like Summers in London or spring in Belgium. I remember Magnolia trees blossoming around our neighbourhood when I was a student on exchange.... Mumbai sunshine has been radiant - blessing us with un-welcomed warmth and light a.k.a Heat Sweat and Grime... If only summer, sunshine and yellow looked like this in Mumbai !

Inspired by our recent golden rays, enjoy a few of my sunny Etsy Faves ....

Cherry Blossom Loving !

Four Things - inspired by the cherry blossoms coloring our city all shades of pink ....

I sat there the whole of yesterday and today re-evaluating my small agency life. Sometimes start-ups can be tough, especially ones relating to Social Media. Each time I found myself wearing off on these beautiful Spring filled images and brought me back memories of my short lived stay in Japan during the Cherry Blossom seasons !

I want to do to you what Spring does with the cherry trees.

Celebrating the big 4 !

It all started with someone discussing a cooking hobby over the internet – introducing me to a blog… How excited I was when my first blog was put out there. I waited hours on end to hit the re-fresh button, waiting for some people out there to come and read, comment, criticize, slander, love what I write …! The journey started there… And then it has been a no looking back kind of a game. Each experience  amounting to a dash of frantic typing, hitting back space, re-typing and then editing, finding pictures, scouting for content which readers love.

The best kind of blog posts have been those which have been straight from the heart, ….The Cherry Eyed Sherpa I still remember writing this in one shot … and without editing putting it out there. I cannot imagine having to change any one of those words on the world wide web… I meant every word I have said. And then to get all those amounts of emails from all of you sharing similar stories and experiences makes me feel special, that I have a gift of words, which I should put to some greater good.

I was laughed at and ridiculed for obsessing over my blog… spending way too much time I could have used in maybe making some money, cause a blog is for the passionate, not for those who think money is the end goal of spending time on something. And then there are those out of the blue calls from a friend in the middle of the night telling you how she saw Wilderness as a reference for a post by someone in Australia !!! Like when did the 3rd world become an inspiration to the 1st world ??

Today, I am going to be short on words… today is about Thanking you all for reading, commenting, emailing, facebooking, twittering and all those modes of communicating and reaching out to me. Encouraging me to use my idle time and just writing !

30 WAYS TO DECORATE WITH MIRRORS

DESIGNSPONGEMIRRORS
Mirror Mirror on the wall... who is the fairest of them all ?? As a little girl not only did I love looking into the mirror hours on end, but it was my favourite game to play DRESS UP. I dont know how many times I would have wrapped a Sari Around me before I grew up and actually got so bored of it - that Now the thought of wearing a saree wears me off !!

But Mirrors are an essential thing. I feel a mirror is a must in every elevator - where you have your own personal moment of checking if the basics are in place. Or maybe outside a home - right before you enter so that you dont walk into an important conversation with the Oregano stuck in your tooth. Everyone knows you enjoyed a slice of Warm Pizza right before. Or in my new home - where I can have a long hard last look at myself before I face a new day and a new challenge. Design Sponge ran a Mirror Contest - and clearly - the entries are stupendous. Look at all the ways the mirror has been used in people's home. Lets take a sneak peak.
