Be Mine Party Time

As you all know, Valentines Day is coming... Wait! Before you roll your eyes at me for wasting time on an over-commercialized corporate pay-out... read on...
Whatever your thoughts are on this slightly obnoxious cheese-fest of a day, it's still a good excuse to get together with people you care about. Love is worthy of celebration, even if its only for your cats. But I'm going to assume you have some friends too... I'm all about positivity- and if you can dedicate a day to it, what's the harm? Perhaps you too can plan to get together with loved ones- even if it's just to complain about how silly the day is- just share it with people you care about. This year I'm helping my friends plan a Valentines party at their place and I'm not gonna lie- I'm pretty excited. Any excuse to decorate is a good excuse. I've been collecting images from all over to get inspired for their little shindig... And plan on getting creative enough to not have to give big corporate America my hard earned cash- because us crafty people get a kick out of throwing parties without throwing away our money on stuff we can make ourselves! Oh yaaaa.

Eggy Sunday Inspiration for Easter

Today I went a little rabbit crazy, and today I’m continuing our egg obsession with a roundup of all things egg inspired. From tiny egg candles and egg plates to egg-shaped pet beds and paperclip holders, I tried to find eggy designs that would suit a wide range of styles and budgets. While I’ve got my eye on this incredible egg-bot kit, I think I’ll end up with something a little simpler, like an egg candle. Either way, it’s going to be an egg-celent online shopping day .
*If these 30 aren’t enough, I have over 50 choices in my full Pinterest research board right here. I went a little egg crazy with this one.

Inspiration Allium

On top of this newly acquired root canal of Kunal, the hot and overcast weather is making me feel less than 100% today. He has been in so much pain, and my dear one has hardly slept well in days thanks to the throbbing pain. And as much as I love taking care of him, Im feeling a little low myself..  A little pick-me-up in the shape of a circular flower will undoubtedly help boost my spirits. So after work I plan on heading to the market to pick up some  much-needed bouquet of Alliums, maybe in plastic and decorate the empty vase, the one we got as a wedding present. They are my absolute favorite flower for many reasons... this ofcourse after the carnations: They always look beautiful whether using them sparsely around the home or in an elaborate arrangements- and they always as sense of cheer to a space. Maybe it's the shape or the bright colors- whatever it is- it makes me happy... something I really need today. I hope you enjoy these inspirational Alliums I've found for all of you :)

Olive For this Summer

Yes, yes... I know I should still be excited about all the bright and vivid colors that Summer has to offer... but I've recently found myself re-kindling a deep love for the warmth that olive green brings to my life.. so much so that i even named my company after it .. Olive Inc. Just look at it. It's the perfect transitional color for Summer to Fall... and it looks great in both the wardrobe and in the home. I almost died when I saw that vintage green stove (below.) After that, it was a downward spiral of lust for my old friend, Olive. Oh boy... where's my paint brush?

Re-inventing the Broach

Don't you just love discovering ways to re-use items that have been long-forgotten about? I'm thinking about my vintage brooches! I know I have a few lying around that I never use (not too many outfits call for a fancy brooch, you know?) But see how beautiful (and expensive) they look when put on top of a napkin at a dinner table? Or what about using it to finish off a wrapped gift? Take a look at these images from Glitter Guide to discover more inspiring ideas!
